History

The Dearborn Community Fund (DCF) was formed in 2000 as a 501(c)(3) organization under then Mayor Michael A. Guido. The DCF mission is to provide and promote financial and volunteer resources in support of cultural and recreation programs that directly impact the citizens of Dearborn.

Mayor Michael A. Guido, City Council members, and special guests cut the celebratory ribbon at the new Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. September 2001.

The DCF’s first project was the capital campaign for the construction of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. The facility was completed and opened to the public in September 2001. Since then the DCF has expanded its role to include projects and activities occurring community wide and at the Center.

DCF partners with other community non-profits to develop and strengthen programs that contribute to the vibrancy of the community.
